Finally a I got to fix my digital camera driver issue and I got
an electricity cable for my laptop. I’ll have to wait till
end of July to order an ISDN connection. Meanwhile
I have to use dial-up.
Today I spent the morning going to different
stores looking for a cable for my laptop. Then I
went to buy a bikini to go swimming tommorow. Then I dropped
by at my aunt to chat for a while. At lunch time my other
uncle and aunt invited us to lunch at Renaissance Hotel.
Now I’m home alone setting up my camera and laptop. It is
really hot right now. Not even the rain this afternoon helped
to cool a bit. Here is a picture of my view from my front
porch where I have breakfast and read the paper in the morning.

In my photolog section I added my first photo. I’ll try to update it every 2 days
or so. I have to plan a day when I can borrow a Jeep from someone to go off road to
shoot photo’s. I am already broke until 20 of July. I spended a lot
of money before I came to Aruba plus the laptop cable was anything but cheap.
So I’ll only be doing things that don’t cost any money.
Yesterday I finally got home around 6 p.m. The flight went nice, plane wasn’t full and the passengers were nice. Now I’m jet lagged, so it will take some day before it passes.
I just connected my laptop to dial-up, my speed is 48,0 kbs. It’s slow but better then I expected. I already took some photo’s but I can’t install my digital camera on my laptop, it did well on my desktop without the softwares but it won’t on my laptop. So now I’m stuck with my photo’s on the digital camera. I hope to find a software from internet to get it working.
When I get my camera connected with my laptop I’ll add some photo’s online asap. If you know a way to connect my Fuji Finepix A204 to my Win Xp Home please let me know! The auto install of windows doesn’t install it for me.
I can’t go to the beach today cause I lost my swim suit, so that will have to wait till a buy a new
one this week. I also have to buy a transformator to plug my laptops adaptor to charge the battery. That I’ll be getting tomorrow. Can’t live without a computer.
Back on Aruba; It’s really hot, I have to get used
to it again. Right now it’s 7:50 a.m. and I’m already starting to sweat. I’m sitting in the
kitchen with doors and windows open. But it is less hot then last summer that I was here. Today I’m going to the supermarket and start driving again, I haven’t drove a car in one and half year. Got see if I still can. Well I have to go, I only have 30 minutes more left of battery, I hope get back soon online with a working camera connection!
Update:
I found the driver on the Fuji website, I hope to download it before my battery shuts off…stay tuned for photo’s in a couple of days.
