After a lot of thinking and reading of reviews. I decided to buy a new digital camera of 3 megapixel with more than 3x optical zoom. I was deciding between the Fuji FinePix 3800 or the Fuji FinePix S5000 I went to the store to buy the 3800 because it has better reviews being a year old camera. And the S5000 just got released. But then at the store after holding the S5000 I decided to go for it.

Things I like about the S5000

• It is heavier than the 3800, so it shakes less
• It has a 10x optical zoom
• A lot of image quality functions, especialy the adjustable shutter speed
• It can take a serie of 5 photographs or more
• A button special for setting the exposure and a focus button
• External flash
• It does’nt use a lot of a battery live like other cameras

The negative:

• It doesn’t has a lens stabilizer so when using the zoom beyond 5x any shakiness is noticable, but with a steady hand you have no problems in my opinion

All in all I like this camera for my needs. I’m just an amateur I still have to dominate the camera to get superB photo’s.

I have 2 weeks more of vacation before I start my full time internship until the end of January. So I won’t be writing anything in my weblog for this 2 weeks. I am working on a design for a freelance try out and I’m expecting a hugh internet bill. I rather use the money to buy this new Fuji Finepix 5000

Unless I feel like it, expect no update these 2 weeks. After that I expect to be back full time.
