Summary march-2005March 28th, 2005

I haven’t had anything note worthy to write about lately, thus the lack of update. Not much has been going on, just daily routine.

Took some photos last saturday at the airport; Schiphol. Check them on my Flickr page I only uploaded 2, weather was grey/foggy so they didn’t come out all nice. And I got a dust speckle on my camera sensor, giving me some stress. SLR cameras should not be without lens or body cap in the open. So I’ll be taking it to the shop for them to clean, I won’t risk doing it myself.

I’ve started taking photos with the Holga too, but film costs money so I’m careful with taking photos. The weather was going right direction but we are back at grey rainy days.

Today I finally got around finishing up my room decoration. I bought one plant with fits just right. I hung up my poster of Van Gogh’s ‘Wheatfield under thunder clouds’ and two other posters I have. I saw a room done the whole beach style, blue walls, one wall with a palm-tree wallpaper, if I could do that here. But that would involve replacing carpet, curtains and money.

I leave you with some links update:

  • Moleskinerie I’m now also a Moleskine user with a Pilot G-TEC-C4
  • onoinboy::ca Some amazing drawings done in a Moleskine
  • Joshuaink This design is on of the freshest and nice currently.
  • Lost Because they started showing it here and it’s a pretty good show.

I got a bad case of flu since saturday. I’ve been sitting it out, drinking lots of water and sleeping. Not able to do much I just kept updated with sxsw.

Thanks to Flickr I now can connect websites with faces. You can check out all photos tagged with sxsw. Tip: search in description for names like Cederholm, Zeldman, Shea, etc. You’ll get plenty of photos, like you met them in real.

What I was most looking forward to was the presentations used at the different panels. But the only one I could find was that of Andy Budd and Jeremy Keith. They talked about ways to get started on CSS in a relaxed funny way. Check out How to bluff your way in CSS.

Joe Clark has been live blogging from panels he attended. A very interesting read to get the feeling how it was.

On another note:

Today I got [the Zen of CSS design](http://www.amazon.com/ exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0321303474/ qid=1110892241/sr=8-1/ref=pd_csp_1/ 104-5960026-6961538?v=glance&s=books&n=507846) delivered from Amazon. I already read the introduction and it looks like it’s going to be very interesting read. Finally a web standards book that’s aimed at intermediate/advanced level so there will be new things to learn.

Now if I could get better fast…
