For those of you that don’t know, there is a Textpattern template competition going. There is still two weeks left before submission closes. Submission has been low, I hope more people will submit their templates this coming weeks. I have taken a liking with Textpattern and it would be nice for it to get more attention.
So far I know there isn’t a template for Textpattern like there is Kubrick for WordPress. So I decided to come up with a template, which is easier said then done. I always liked things simple so with this template it’s going to be the same.
I have been tinkering with the CSS/XHTML for a few days. Once you have the design coded you realize how easy it can break when people start using it, each of them with different amount of navigation links, sidebar items and content. And I have yet to import it in Textpattern and see if it works with the system without too much tweaking.
Talking about CSS/XHTML I bought Dan Cederholm’s ‘Bulletproof Web Design’. It’s a great book in my opinion if you don’t code CSS everyday. Reading the book keeps your knowledge fresh and gives you some insightful points.
Keep an eye out for when I get that template done and release it…
